 Having in your hands a new record from TOTAL CHAOS is always a mystery, surely you don’t know what to expect exactly, which style of punk rock they have chosen this time. “Avoid All Sides” is much less metal than the previous “Freedom Kills” and despite the production that is not entirely punk the songs are more close to street punk. The production is good, the songs are fast and the lyrics deal with the well-known social political topics. The cover is magnificent and shows directly which are the sides that should be avoided . The line up of the band has changed but Rob Chaos and Shawn Smash remain. I was expecting something more metal from TOTAL CHAOS, but this does not mean that this is not a good record. If you like punk rock and older records of TOTAL CHAOS like “Anthems From The Alleyway” and “IN God We Kill” you will surely like this one too.
